Hello, Dolphin families!

I am so excited to be back with you this 2024-2025 school year!

My number one goal is to keep students safe and healthy so that they can learn better in their school environment.  There are a few ways you can assist.

Illnesses:  Per state guidelines, all students must be at least 24-hours (off medication) free of fever, diarrhea (3+ episodes), and vomiting (2+ episodes) to return to school.

We also ask that you keep your child home for pink eye, undiagnosed rashes, or uncontrolled asthma or diabetes.

Medications: Please give all medications at home when possible.  If your student needs to take a medication during the school day, it must be in the original packaging.  It will need to be left in the clinic with the nurse by an adult.  Students cannot carry their own medicines.

We must have a doctor's order to administer any medication (even over-the-counter ones) for any length of time.  Forms are available at the link to the Health Services page, or I can provide printed copies.

Immunizations: Students in public schools must meet the Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements.  Please keep your child's shots up to date and provide us with copies of records.

Contact Me: Please keep me up to date with any changes to your contact information or your student's health status.

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns, or if you are looking for resources to help promote your child's health!

Proud to be your Dolphin nurse!
